Sunday Morning Open: Champions League, Group A

Overview

Sunday Morning Open: Champions League is a bi-weekly invitational padel tournament organized by Tonybet Padel, featuring a €5,000 prize pool.

Tournament time: Every second Sunday, 11:00–15:00 (or according to the published schedule).

Maximum draw: 16 teams.

Entry & Selection

Registration is open to all teams.

For the first six tournaments, all 16 participating teams will be selected exclusively by the Tonybet Padel Management Team through organizer invitations.

Following the sixth tournament, the entry and seeding system will be reviewed based on the experience from the initial events. The Organizer intends to introduce a ranking-based qualification system, with the number of direct ranking entries and Wild Cards to be determined and communicated before the 7th tournament.

Tournament Format

Group Stage

• 16 teams are divided into 4 groups of 4 teams.
• Each team plays every other team in its group (3 matches).
• The group stage is played simultaneously on 8 courts.

Match Format

• Each match consists of one set to 8 games.
• At 7–7, a standard 7-point tie-break is played.
• Each match has a 30-minute time limit, followed by a 5-minute transition period for finalizing results, changing courts, and preparing for the next round.

If the time limit expires before the set is completed:

• Teams finish the current game if at least one point has already been played.
• If the score is tied after completing that game, one deciding (diamond) point is played to determine the winner.

Teams are ranked in the following order:

2. Game Difference
3. Head-to-Head

Playoffs

• The top two teams from each group qualify for the Championship Playoffs.
• All playoff matches follow the same match format unless otherwise announced by the Organizer.

Sunday Morning Open is an invitational exhibition tournament and is not an official sanctioned competition. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the tournament format, draw structure, schedule, regulations, match format, selection process, prize distribution, ranking system, or any other operational aspects whenever deemed necessary.
